For the 2024/25 season we initiated a major update for the Endeavor Snowboards Silent Saleman cards. The cards have gone through many iterations over the years and I have been responsible for their design since the 2019 season. These cards are an invaluable tool at retail for consumers and shop staff alike as they provide all the information on that particular board in a quick, visually impactful way.
With so many brands and product on the shelves it is imperative to stand out in a very crowded market. Furthermore, consumers on average take around 2—5 seconds when shifting through product so having the information they need, easily accessible is key to retaining interest.
The brand also wanted to highlight the local versus global nature of the business with a strong emphasis on their family and rider-owned heritage.
I designed a series of wrap around cards with a neon spine that would stand out at retail. The angle of the card is measured to match the angle of the sidewall so both sides of the card sit vertical on the board. Each card includes a series of graphics depicting the boards most important information, namely Terrain, Camber, Flex and Carbon. Further structural details and a size chart are secondary visual elements. The brands POD is displayed on the front along with callouts to their B-Corp status.
